The bug
Dropped sand on manually placed soul sand on the side of two blocks which displays the "water effect of pushing things up" makes the sand to weirdly float.

Explanation:
When you place soul sand underwater, it will produce a lift bubble column column. A lift draws entities upwards. The longer an object is rising through the bubble column the faster they will go. When the force is high enough, the object will shoot out of the water.
A falling sand is an entity, it is produced if sand (block) does not have a supporting block below.
So, it work as intended.

@unknown, you're not a mod. This report is perfectly fine. And if the wiki mentions something (in fact, it doesn't even mention this behaviour), doesn't mean that it's intended.
The wiki do mention its behaviour. See here: A falling sand is an entity. And if you place magma blocks underwater, it will float. Falling sand falls, and when it falls to the water, the lift pushes it back. The same will go for other entities that falls, such as zombies and the player. Zurishadai Beneberak, can you reply on this?
Working as intended. Wiki says " Bubble columns push or pull entities" and the falling sand is an entity.
The Wiki is not an official source, it is run by volunteers who are describing the current state only.
Well yes but actually that doesn't matter..as a metter of fact bubble columns are able to push or pull entities. The falling blocks are cosidered as entities. So i wouldn't see this as a bug and i'm not the only one who is saying that.
Although I do agree with you, Mojang has to decide whether it's a bug or not, which they haven't yet.
The resolution of MC-206604 supports this issue being Working as Intended. All entities should float to the top of bubble columns, including falling block entities.
Works as intended. Also, make a more descriptive report.
