In my opinion the model of the shipwrecks is generated wrong. The wooden slabs over the cabin are to low. You can't enter the cabin properly and it looks not correct from the outside.

Yes, but maybe it was a mistake. For reference I uploaded shipwreck screenshots of the non Java (Windows10/Bedrock) Edition. They seem to not have this intended behavior. I know both versions right now do not offer feature parity, but Mojang/Microsoft said they want them one day to have it. So one edition clearly has it wrong here...
Thanks for your effort and the additional images. In my humble opinion the model seems to be correct and functional in the Windows 10 Edition. Just my two cents. But maybe i just can´t see the intended thing in the Java Edition.
This is not "working as intended". Every slab on the shipwreck, regardless of position, generates as a bottom slab. Calling this intended behavior is dishonest, as the behavior seems to be nothing more than a glitch with the structure file, and has no effect but making the shipwreck look ugly.
I feel like this was marked as WAI because of the way the description and summary are worded. There's nothing inherently wrong with the model, it's just that the structure file doesn't differentiate between top and bottom slabs.
So this IS a bug, but should be changed to "Shipwrecks only spawn with bottom slabs" if it's reopened (which it should be since shipwrecks are clearly suppose to generate as they do in Bedrock Edition).
I'd like to restate my claim that this was falsely marked as WAI due to the reasoning I stated previously.
The bug should be renamed to "Shipwrecks only spawn with bottom slabs" and the description should be updated accordingly.
Would a mod please reopen this and update it.
This should be reopened, yes... if you walk into any upright shipwreck's main (upper) cabin you see the ceiling is upside down, and the center of the table is, too. This is not some 'wreck damage' thing, it's clearly a bug.
I reviewed many shipwrecks and this happens to a lot of them. It does not seem to be intended as the status of this bug may suggest. Please review it at least.
