The bug
Caves (and mineshafts) below ocean ravines are not always properly flooded. Instead the water just stops at some point in midair.
Note: Updating the block is always problematic and only updates one block of water instead of all!

This appears to be different to MC-127303.
That report is about air pockets inside flooded caves. This report is regarding the interaction between flooded and non-flooded caves/ravines.

@1icri think you are right now that i look after that man is in a flooded cave.. and mine is not a flooded cave but its a cave that should be flooded but is not 🙂 thanks on looking at that! 🙂Â
Looks like it's related to MC-126010

Dont looks like the same?? This is a Water ravine under Water.. and then There is a cave under water Where it do not flow inside but just stops around Where the cave begins

I changed the report and included a seed and coordinates to reproduce this. I hope you are fine with that.

have you tryed updating the water, and se if it helps, if so it may be a "load" problem, where something is not loaded right.

@Sulnus No, there is really a problem because nothing happens when we "update" the block of water

The seed and coordinates in the description are no longer relevant!
(Indeed, by testing in 19w06a, I do not fall on the same generation of the world).
We should find new coordinates and a seed to confirm whether or not this bug still exists.

Can confirm that the bug is not resolved. I updated the bug description with the following information:
