Buried Treasure Maps giving the same treasure

I have gotten 4 different buried treasure maps (supposedly) id #0, id #1, id #2, id #3. They all lead to the same treasure. I have already gotten that treasure from id #0. This is annoying because I'm trying to do a youtube series and getting the same treasure map 4 times is really frustrating. I hope that this can get fixed in 1.13-pre2!

The mansions are supposed to be extremely rare, /locate only finds a new mansion after teleporting ~30000 blocks away and cartographer maps are basically a /locate command (nearest structure only).

I would think they lead to a different treasure farther away. I got the maps from the same area of underwater ruins. That may also be why. I just hope that they make it to where they show different treasures no matter how far away.

I agree but since underwater treasures are very rare too (correct me if I'm wrong), locating treasures too far away means searching the unloaded chunks, which means further chunks should be loaded to locate treasures. That may cause time lag and degrade performance.

Also, see what @unknown said under MC-108082:

From what I tested, a new cartographer will generate maps to the nearest unexplored structures. So it seems logical that in the same location, without exploring those, each new cartographer will continue to generate maps to the same structures.

Wait, are you sure this one duplicates MC-130486 - Side of water and lava not rendered besides non-full-height blocks?

Ok. I just find this sortove annoying when doing an LP and getting 4 of the same treasure.
