Places sand onto fence gate and now can't destroy block, it's glitching up and down and I can walk through it

Maybe this is because the entity for falling sand is getting stuck there, it has to land on ~.000 but is stuck at ~.500 because fence's hitboxes go half a block higher than the actual block, works as intended (sort of)
TL:DR: fence's hitbox is half a block higher, sand lands at ~.000 but is held at ~.500.
