So yeah, issue with the maps in-game. For some reason, when I create a new map, or pick-block an old one, it updates/creates the map but at the wrong y-level, cutting off a good darn portion of everything up to said y-level. That being said, I can see inside all of my buildings, including the upper floor of my house, as if there was no roof even on it when using a map. So yeah, this also happen on all the other buildings, whether they have slab, stair, of whole block roofs. So yeah, a little help please? It also cut off the walls to either side of my walkway on top of my security wall. So, with my mother nagging up a storm about her life, and with me not having my headset with which to block her out, I have one thing to say...... I AM SURROUNDED BY OLD PEOPLE!!!!!!!

Please check if that's still an issue in the latest pre-relase. Also check out the new map rendering behavior in pre7 as described here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft/comments/8xo1ex/minecraft_113_map_rendering_changes/
Well, the rendering of blocks isn't an issue anymore, but on the minus side, all the the green arrws that show maps in item frames, the white arrow that shows the player, and all the banner markers are blacked out! And, if I try to add a new banner marker to the map, the game crashes instantly! So, you partially fixed it, but it still needs a little work. Rockatoa, Brickticks out!
I got the same problem looking through my buildings (described in MC-132840) 😞
