The bug
The F3 menu inconsistently calls the fluid system liquid in one line, but fluid in another.
Open your F3 menu
Look at a block (not a liquid)
See the lines "Looking at liquid" and "Targeted fluid"

IMO it should be "fluid", since the system is generalized to both gasses and liquids, and "minecraft:empty" is the fluid for air (a gas).
Correct, the coordinates were moved to after the "Targeted X:" text. Was done prior to 1.18.2, but not sure when.
Resolving as 'Cannot Reproduce' for now. A fix version can be added afterwards in case someone finds out the exact version where this got changed.
Fix version is 20w18a. Why people kept confirming this for 1.16 is beyond me. (I made the mistake once myself)
The "Looking at block" and "Looking at fluid" were integrated into "Targeted block" and "Targeted fluid" located on the right side of the debug screen.
You're misunderstanding the report, it was about the text "Looked at liquid" and "Targeted fluid" not using the same word. That was what this was originally about, what you're thinking of was reported as MC-133195 and WAId.
I don't know why the scope was changed, but it was about the text when I made this. I'm restoring it to the original scope (before you changed it) to make this distinction clear once again.
All cases should say liquid since air is a fluid and it's not useful looking at that all day.
