Placing a slab between blocks under water creates a air pocket when it's on the ground but not above

Can confirm in 20w49a.

Can't reproduce in 1.20.1, the slabs properly place as water logged on both the top and bottom spot for me

Cannot reproduce in 1.20.2 either following the same steps left in my previous comment.

Additionally; I would like to add that this behavior is currently functioning as it should. If the two water blocks below an overhang are sources, both the top and bottom position are water logged as expected. (See
