I started the 1.13 server.jar and without anyone joining it or running any commands, the memory started to climb. It steadily climbed until it reached 3% memory free and then it drops and resets to around 36% memory free. I've tested the 1.12 server.jar and the memory use remains completely steady while nothing major happens. I'm assuming it's a 1.13 only problem.

Once I was playing my minecraft singleplayer world in 1.13 version my game suddenly crashed, when I tried to join my world again, it crashed once more and got deleted, i checked the "saves" folder and the world was still there, but the "level.dat" file was missing. I also tried to restore previous versions of the "saves" folder but it didn't work. I just want to know can I get my world back or if not, could I get the seed of the world back at least.

Does this issue occur in the latest release (currently 1.15.1)?
Also, per related ticket, does it persist if the server is started with the nogui flag?

With the GUI version of the server open displaying memory usage, the graph gradually rose in 1.15.1 as it did before in 1.13. However, when I opened it in the command prompt with nogui, it fluctuated depending on obvious variables in the server (assuming Task Manager RAM usage percentages were correct, as I'm unsure of how to display the current memory usage of a server using the console), such as a player joining, rather than with the GUI where the RAM usage steadily increased without reason (or a reason that I know of).
I've got the raising memory issue with my 1.13 client. Additionally every time the memory resets to a low memory usage, i get huge lag-spikes. It happens faster or slower in diffrent worlds. In some worlds this repeats every 5 seconds, in others every minute.
