Minecraft Launcher opens perfectly & is completely usable. Upon clicking the "Play 1.13 - Latest Release" button, Minecraft opens in a frozen state and gets as far as the title screen. Unable to click anything or even maximize the window as the game is frozen and stays frozen. I also have Optifine & Forge installed; if these cause errors with 1.13 for some reason I will uninstall. No crash reports.

This happens to my Minecraft game too, when I launch it takes a hot minute to load the game, but when playing all seems fine, then when wandering into new chunks aside from the ones that were loaded in with you, everything laggings and freezes, and will eventually crash. Only occurs in 1.13, and not in the previous release.
The same exact thing is happening to my game and only in 1.13, I also have Forge installed.
Update: As of 7/24/2018, I figured out the problem was that I had to much storage.

I had the same error, but I "resolved" it by turning on "Keep the launcher open while the game is running" and "Open the data log when the game starts" in the launcher settings.
I hope Mojang will fix this bug.
It happened to me too! Locking the game all the time, I can't play anymore, when I enter a high world to make a guide for beginners, it closed on its own (1.13, 1.14, 1.15 and 1.16) This also happens at 1.12, 1.11, 1.10 and 1.9, except 1.8, 1.7, 1.6, 1.5, 1.4 and 1.3!

OptiFine and Forge can help you some crashing problems, if cause errors too, I don't know how to solve this.
