A zombie got a few of my villagers a while back and I figured I must have been careless with a door somewhere, but then one spawned today inside a building that I had checked for lighting - it's lit up to block lighting level of 9 or better everywhere. I was in the room directly below this, so I killed it and immediately came up and checked the lighting and everything - no zombies should have spawned here.

No. Directly below is my work room. I pulled up a mapping program called Chunky to check further. The nearest dungeon is 20 blocks south, 12 blocks lower, and spawns skeletons. I was in the workroom directly under the floor of this room when a zombie spawned there. During broad daylight. There's not a visible lighting glitch, but I'm wondering if this is one of those times when the lighting is miscalculated, but only for the purposes of spawning stuff?

This is my building that a zombie spawned in. the unfinished part is walled off with a row of dirt, unless zombies are now 1 square tall, it didn't come in there. It's also broad daylight out there and I didn't hear burning. I've checked the ceiling for holes, etc.
