Grass/Mycelium wont die in water.

Water doesn't seem to kill Grass/Mycelium during the night time. I set my randomTickSpeed to 4000 and then even tried it in a new world to make sure it wasnt some gamerule in my world. Sadly, I can't seem to get the water to kill them
