Treasure Map has only one set of directions

It's really hard to explain this bug.The treasure map seems to only show movement in East/West direction. North/South movement isn't shown on the map. So I can find only one coordinate, not the second, making it impossible to pinpoint the treasure.

You see in the screenshot I seem to be right next to it, like I can just walk a few steps to the left and be right on top of it. But that is not the case. I can walk infinitely to the left and still be exactly where I am on the map. If I move forward or backward from the position shown, I miss it entirely. I dug for a day and a half and gave up.

The treasure map was in one of the chests in the shipwreck at about 358/67/41

The small dot on the edge means you're too far away to be shown on the map. You need to proceed west until the position dot turns into an arrow.

It doesn't let you. I mean, I went to 4 or 5 different biomes, all nearby land masses. Never turned into an arrow. I can go up and down the edge, that's all. Isn't the map supposed to show a treasure at least kind of nearby? I checked a spruce biome, a mixed forest, a mega taiga, a frozen ocean and even goit to the edge of a jungle. Nada.

Okay, I opened a new world and could not reproduce my own bug! A copy of the world produces a working copy of the map. It didn't take me long to find the spot in the taiga (same one I'd been to at least twice). So you probably won't be able to reproduce this one. I'm not sure what was happening, it just kept saying I was not on the map when I clearly was. It isn't far from the frozen ocean I'd crossed a few times already.

I'll have to check and see if the treasure is actually there.

Yes, it was there this time.
