Big lag spike on nether when moving on boat

it is almost since i play on 1.13, when i travel trough my nether highway im having huge lag spikes when im moving on the boat; fps drops to less than the half i usually have. i remeber on previous versions like 1.11 and 1.12 the fps drops wasnt so big.
