Inconsistent behaviour when breaking "multiple blocks in the same space" instances

When multiple blocks are placed within the same block space and then broken, inconsistent results are obtained. Either only one part should be deducted, or all should be.

Turtle eggs: only one egg is deducted.
Sea pickles: all are broken.
Double slabs: both are broken.
Stacked snow: all layers are broken.
Vines: all are broken (MC-129114)
