Can someone explain how this counts as a feature request? End portals can be placed just fine, despite not being obtainable as an item. I’d fully expect end gateways to work in the exact same way. In JE, both can be placed.

This ticket should be reopened if there is no good explanation as to why this distinction exists.

This was “fixed” in 26.4 snapshot 2, however it caused something even worse (MC-312500). I’d recommend marking that as a related ticket.

Block displays are covered by MC-248703, which Mojang have explicitly stated they will not fix.

The behaviour of this changed in 25w16a, so this ticket should be closed as fixed in that version. A new report is forthcoming.

For some reason, the new sit layout forbids you from removing affects versions if you don’t leave one yourself. Future Update will need to be removed.

Can confirm. Also affects the UI background, and probably other non-atlas textures.

This does not affect 26.3 as the inconsistency was only introduced in 26.4 snapshot 2.

Certainly an interesting choice of resolution following the reopening of MC-64222. Surely the issue arrives because of it trying to render a fluid, much like what is the case for endermen and minecarts?
