I'm guessing since the pressure plate "tweaking" (as you've now introduced gold and iron plates) the TRAP in Temples no longer gets activated by landing on the pressure plate. Wooden ones work.

EXCUSE ME!! BUT my issue was NOT that the pressure plate doesn't work. IT's that it DOESN'T ACTIVATE THE TRAP!!!
Yes people have said that it doesn't work with players and this may be a good and useful thing.
But MY issue is that the plate no longer does its purpose in a MAP GENERATED BUILDING!
There for needs to be looked in to and FIXED! Whether that's changing the workings of the stone plate BACK or replacing the plate used when GENERATING

You honestly think your right? Rethink that. You obviously didn't think hard enough. The problem is with the pressure plate. No one knows if the pressure plate is a bug or not, but if you think it is a feature, then take this to Minecraft Suggestions... Not bugs... But common sense tells me this is a bug, so just say the pressure plate is a bug. But don't repost this. You already have made a duplicate. Don't make another one.

Rubbed. I don't know who you're talking to.. You seem to refer to everyone's comments..❓ But I agree with you (I think). It's a bug that needs fixing in the temples however.. We can keep the people happy by leaving the stone plate with its new "abilities". But the temples need their plates replacing with a wooden or something else... perhaps even wire trap?
It seems that in 13w16a that stone pressure plates only send a redstone signal when a mob walks on them, not when the player walks on them.
At first I thought 'bug', but now I'm thinking that (deliberate or not) this could be a good feature (especially combined with a new type than is player sensitive and not mob sensitive). I'd actually prefer that this got kept rather than fixed (if kept then stone pressure plates in the desert temple generation code will need to be replaced with wood to keep the trap working).
