So, I was super excited to see what 1.14 may look like. I wanted to see the pandas, most notably. I looked at the nearest Jungle Pyramid, and saw nothing, set aside the new textures (and some bamboo. No pandas. I try
/summon minecraft:panda. Says 'Summoned New Panda'. Nothing happened though. I reasoned that the /summon was set to a default of the world spawn. then I tried
/summon minecraft:panda ~ ~ ~, but got the same thing. I want to see those pandas!!!

This just started when I joined 18w43b (I can still play earlier versions with visible mobs). I didn't even know 18w43a existed, and haven't played that yet. I could play with mobs visible on 1.12.2, 1.13, and 1.13.1 (no idea that 1.13.2 existed until 18w43b). It's not that. They also retextured alot, so that may explain it.
Is your render distance set to 3 or lower and do summoning other mobs not show up as well? If that's the case, you might be experiencing MC-137521.
