The Illager Beast doesn't destroy leaves when it stands over them

The Illager Beast destroys leaves when it crosses them horizontally, but not when it passes over them. I don't know if this is a bug or this is inconsistency.

To be clearer: this is an example of a trap that I created. But it doesn't work..
