Wither roses can be destroyed by wither explosion. They shouldn't, according to the wiki. That means that when a rose is planted after the wither killed an entity like chicken, it happens that the rose is immediately destroyed.
How to reproduce : create a world, summon a wither, then place a wither rose on a high blast resistance block (obsidian, bedrock). Summon a chiken on the rose, like this the wither focus the chiken and its explosions can destroy the rose.
-> after few tries, the plant is destroyed.

@miwob This isn't a feature suggestion, it's a bug. Based on the fact that when a mob dies to the wither, the wither rose is placed down, we can safely assume that the developers mean for the wither rose to be planted and not dropped. However, what often happens is that the wither destroys the rose or the ground beneath it, making it drop.

Also, you shouldn't be pointing people towards r/minecraftsuggestions anymore, as Mojang no longer accepts suggestions from there due to copyright laws.
The wiki is edited by community members (as opposed to Mojang staff) and may not always have correct information.
