Water spreads to adjacent waterlogged blocks, that then spread to other waterlogged blocks

I was creating a secret water entrance, then moved it using a structure block, but the water spread to the signs. If the waterlogged block is adjacent to a source block it will spread, and if those blocks are touching other waterlogged blocks it will also spread. Not does not happen if the original water block is not a source block.
