Loyalty enchantment is not functioning at all in survival mode. trident can be thrown but does not return.

this was noticed BEFORE i entered the end/used an end portal. I noticed it specifically when i was exploring a woodland mansion.
Most likely it simply got outside of loaded chunks. Try turning up your render distance, and throw it again.
that might be a reasonable thought, but my render distance is 11 and im throwing it less than 80 blocks into a pit filled with mobs.
Did you use the end gateway? Please check if MC-136386 describes your issue.
