After going to sleep, I woke up and the camera got stuck looking at the bed. The messagebox is stuck open and the mouse keeps trying to centre itself every few seconds. The screen is slightly dimmed as if I were going to sleep but nothing is happening. I am unable to close the messagebox or press escape to pause the game, and the only buttons that seems to work is F2 to screenshot. The in-game day/night cycle still continues and the weather also changes. I am unable to do anything else unless I close and restart the game.

This issue has continues to happen to me in multiple world creations, multiple beds, etc. in version 19w02a. Very frustrating.
Description is exactly as described by the original reporter.

Same experience. Mine seemed to start after opening the world to LAN so that I could enable cheats. I executed the Firetick command to stop a burning fire. Sleeping was normal before that, but since then the problem persists after closing and reopening Minecraft.

That's ironic..... I just opened my world to LAN and now the bed is working for me. 🙂 I was going to suggest that opening the world to LAN solved the problem, but seems not due to your comments.

This problem has been happening to me as well in snapshot 19w02a.
I'm playing on a save I had previously been playing on before installing the snapshot, so I'm not sure if that fact alone is contributing to the issue.
Essentially, the exact same thing as you described is occurring.
When I try to sleep, I get stuck in the transition screen with text chat and "Leave Bed" as my only interactable options on the screen. Clicking "Leave Bed" does nothing.
The day/night cycle continues uninterrupted.
The only way I've found to escape this softlock is to force quit the game.

I see this is being marked as duplicate. However I do not see how this issue is related to teleporting to unloaded chunks.
While this sleep/bed issue is happening to me, I have not teleported once. I'm playing around in normal, no-cheat survival mode. No teleporting.
Unless when you sleep, the chunk is being reloaded or something like that.
