Found a desert pyramid and went down slowly not hitting the tnt an when i got down there to my surprise there were no chests is this a issue with my game or... everyones..?

There is ment to be chests by my knowledge What happened i believe there was a village right next to it i think it interfered  with it i am not sure... if the chests are removed or.. what
