When loading a world, the texture for the red bed shows the texture atlas instead of the bed texture for a couple of seconds. This only happens for the first game loaded in the session.
To reproduce:
1. Start the game.
2. Load a game where the player has a red bed as an item in their hotbar.
3. Look at the texture for the bed - it shows the texture atlas instead of the texture for the bed. After a couple of seconds it then changes to the correct texture.

I successfully reproduced the issue in a void world. This is why the crash report has minimal information.
Issue has been seen on beds of other colours (white and black tested) and on ender chests as items in hotbar.

Does it happens without the texture packs?

This is actually a duplicate of MC-112292; since 1.13 made beds use a special renderer, they are also affected by this.
