Using /locate EndCity in the End sends me to a fake location.

I used the /locate EndCity command in the End, and when I used the command at the Central Island in the End, it teleported me into the Void between the 1000 block gap between the Central Island and the Outer Islands. Is it just me or is this a bug that Mojang needs to fix.
