As of this morning the only hostile mob type that spawns in the overworld are Phantoms regardless of difficulty level. Mobs are spawning normally in the Nether, I haven't confirmed mob spawning in the End.

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report ([minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt|http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/guides/finding-minecraft-data-folder]) here.
Once attached, the report will be reopened automatically.

I have attached the Crash report from today and also confirmed that mobs still spawn in the End Dimension and Nether. However, in the Overworld only Phantoms and spawner cage spawned mobs are spawning even at light level 0 and Normal Difficulty. Additionally, Pillager Patrols/Raids are still occurring with the expected mob components
