Sleeping in 19w02a causes game to pause showing only a "Leave Bed" button that does not work, and a chat box that does not capture text from keyboard. To continue game, one must restart minecraft.

Upon further testing, holding down Esc brings up the menu visibly.

Every time this happens it also prevents the outside layer of your skin from loading, with each time the glitch happens disabling/enabling it.
I'm consistently having this same issue, notable though is that pressing Esc, doesn't usually visibly bring up the game menu, but I am able to click on the non-visible menu items, allowing me to save and exit, rather than restarting the entire program.
