The spawn rates of hostile mobs is very low, i am on a multiplayerworld with just one other person, but even when i'm online on my own it does not spawn hostile mobs.
This looks to have gotten even worse from the moment i created a chickenfarm and cow farm, so maybe it has something to do with the difference between hostile and passive mobs not working right now.
