Confirmed on unmodded minecraft. Using a Mac High Sierra 10.13.6

When this happens, does this generate a crash report? If yes, please attach it. If no, please attach the game log.

You can find crash reports and game logs in the .minecraft data folder (subfolders crash-reports and logs respectively)

I can confirm on Windows 10 Pro x64 1809 (17763.316)

Entering a world is not necessary... after starting from clean new launcher with empty "saves" folder when trying to enter video settings or chat settings -> same crash ->

Do you use the Geforce Experience overlay? If yes, does disabling it help? Otherwise, please check whether your graphics card driver is up-to-date.

I am not using GF Experience... not even installed it... and have most current drivers... 418,91...

tried with both java RT build in MC 1.8.0_51 x64

and standalone installed version 1.8.0_201 x64

with no success 😞

Do you use any other overlays, like Discord's overlay for example?

I have a discord but not using now... app not opened... and same for steam launcher and battle.net launcher 🙂 no other launchers / overlays enabled...

Run HijackThis as Administrator, choose "I accept", then "Do a system scan and save a log file". After a while a text file will open. Copy everything, put the log on https://paste.ubuntu.com and give us the link.
