[MC-14467] Death Messages shows "whilst fighting [mob]" at the end even when mob is killed

I was fighting a mob in survival but then i killed myself with Flint and Steel

What it would show:

FunAndJokes555 walked into fire

What showed instead:

FunAndJokes555 walked into fire whilst fighting Spider

Seems /kill don't have effect after killing a mob, but in some other death reasons, yes.

Affected both Vanilla and Modded Minecraft.

If death occurs short time after fighting a mob, the game will assume you were pushed into fire by the mob, since there is no real way to tell how you really died. If you wait a while the "whilst fighting" will no longer show up.

that is not the problem. the game still think a mob made you die in fire, even if the mob is alredy dead =P

Yes the mob could have pushed you into fire while fighting it, that's what the death message says. Since fire makes ongoing damage the statement is correct.
