When sneaking, the camera moves down more than it used to in 1.13 and you can fit underneath top half slabs that are normally at eye level. Once you stand again you are clipped into the half slab

sounds like a cool change to me. Short passageways that you can now get through if you duck.

True... but it wasn't documented. When sneaking your camera moves down A LOT... it feels very weird.

This is probably because they fixed MC-50367.
I think it should be in the game though. The player's height when sneaking is 1.5 blocks, so it should fit perfectly.

i think this is intentional, except the fact that you can unshift

I agree the crouching changing your hitbox is a welcome change and probably intentional, but the way the model stands up if you let go of the button while under a slab, thus getting your head rendered inside the slab even though your hitbox and first-person view remains crouched, is definitely a bug.

Agreed! being able to sneak under a slab should stay, but being able to stand up inside the slab should go

May be a duplicate of MC-90594.

Well since this is basically the same bug (height/unshifting) I can always rename it if we get a mod/dev's input.

Working as intended, moderators?

Possibly Connor... But right now I'm mostly specifying the 1.5m tall part.
Def would like some mod/dev input.

Changes to the hitbox and eye height now make them line up with the dimensions of the sneaking player model, which would initially seem to be a good thing, but the sneaking player model is actually offset downwards into the ground slightly (MC-48191). The player model should be fixed and then the sneaking height and eye height adjusted accordingly before players get too used to a smaller hitbox.
