Are nitwit villagers supposed to claim workstations, and if so why is this villager not? It seems to interact with it's workstation, but hasn't changed appearance, occupation, or trading status. Any fix known?

You see the problem here is that Nitwits won't work at workstations, they may look like it but, but in all reality they're just nitwits

Im having the same problem. I can put other types of villagers near a new workstation after destroying their old one and they change profession. No matter what I do nitwits wont change professions. Is this because they don't have a workstation to destroy or a bug?

You're using the Programmer Art texture pack. This villager is not a nitwit, but seems to be a cartographer.
