The bug
When playing without any changes to settings, the villagers textures works fine, however when the Programmer art resource pack is activated then skins of villagers are messed up and not corresponding to professions as well that they have green hood over their head no matter what type of villager it is.

Mojang, I believe this has got to get fixed because the option to pick Programmer Art was not put on for no reason. So please fix it some time soon. Quite a few people still prefer the old textures so please make them compatible in some way. Or, something I personally would greatly appreciate, would be a new "Programmer-Art-Like" texture pack but still made to be compatible for 1.14 . If you know what I am trying to say.
Can't someone make a resource pack and then remove the hood instead. If so where do I get it or how do i make my own.
The attached zip file is not a great fix, and goes against having the programmer art resources at all. The proper fix is indeed (as mostly pointed out by skroggur) duplicating the old textures and making them replace the profession textures, removing the hoods (preserving the pre-1.14 look), making level textures filly blank, making the biome variant textures farmer textures so professionless villagers still show (or transparent and overwrite the "base" texture); same for zombie villagers (which need their arm textures moved to fix MC-140954).
I think now is a great time to fix this, given the model adaptations from the Spring to Life release and the fix for MC-280047 also making minor adjustments to ensure the model works properly.
Please attach a screenshot of the new villagers bugged.
