I guess this make sense now since creaking heart now made out of resin, which is a kind of stone.

This is intended as it's based on the new 24w34a changelog.

"Items which convert to another item after consumption will no longer do so in Creative.

For example, a Honey Bottle will no longer add a Glass Bottle to your inventory when consumed in Creative"

Unfortunately, this is not an ez question to answer, while obviously the "observed results" is "You will see that an amethyst geode will spawn", the "expected results" is much more difficult and not just simply the opposite of "observed results". Because if it is, the issue of amethyst geode generates in two blocks will still occur, and so does three, four, five, six and so on. Which means we have to answer the question: "What is the minimum amount of blocks for an amethyst geode to spawn in. Unfortunately you cannot just use Calculus to solve this because the size of amethyst geode generate at random and there's no function to consider. The only way to completely fix this is to pre-determine the size of the amethyst geode before generating, then see if the place it wants to generate is "fit" or not. But the problem is it might cause more issues and it sounds like a feature request. So in conclusion, the "expected results" is "I'm not sure".

I already give you the steps to reproduce, despite it kinda confusing.

Can confirm this issue, but since the creator did not give me STR this issue, I have to make one, here's how I reproduce this:

Step 1: Create a superflat world where the top layer is farmland, before creating, make sure to disable structure and change "randomTickSpeed" to 0, otherwise the farmland will start decaying,.
Step 2: Build a fence setup like in the image, spawn a lot of enderman in the fence then wait for the enderman to telephone.
Step 3: Now take a look of the ground -> You will start seeing some dirt.

Nevermind, I just realizes that this is a dupe of MC-251815.

This is still an issue in 1.21, I was in my creative world when suddenly a pillager in patrol spawn inside of a slope making him suffocate, unfortunately I don't have a screenshot nor a video for this.

This might not be the issue anymore as water lake no longer generate in 1.18.

Can confirm in 1.21, happen in my survival world.
