I tried to craft a blast furnace with normal recipe and was unable to it also does not appear in the crafting recipe. Attached is a screen shot of the crafting table gui.Visual!2019-03-28_00.40.39.png!

You're supposed to use smooth stone. The issue with blast furnaces not occurring in the crafting menu is MC-141013.
