Whenever it is night for me or in a cave, there are absolutely no hostile mobs anywhere with even mob spawners refusing to work and they do not respawn at spawn point and my entity count is always below 40

Keep in mind hostile mobs do not spawn within 30 blocks of the player. After making sure your difficulty isn't on peaceful, try running far away from your house then walking back and see if any have spawned.
