Player not getting seated properly in minecart

I have noticed a bug with the most recent snapshot for Minecraft (19w14a). Whenever I try to enter a minecart, my character glitches out and becomes seated one block below the minecart. In third person view it almost seems like the character is almost laying on its back. Tried reverting my world to a backuped version to see if that would help, but I get the same bug regardless when I upgrade to the 19w14a snapshot. I also tried to create a brand new world in Creative mode, and got the same bug there. 

The screenshots attached show what can be seen when this bug occurs. The Minecart is perfectly functioning besides the obvious misplacement of the player.
