this is a bug because other villagers can open doors

This is a bug because it is a parity issue from a recent update. On Bedrock wandering traders can open doors. This should be reopened

Yes but parity bugs are only accepted as of Buzzy Bees and later.

Oh my bad I thought it was as of 1.14 and later. OK thanks! (still would like it to get fixed though as i do believe it is a bug but i understand)
