This may actually be intended, but I found a village located right next to a woodland mansion. In version 1.14, a slight part of the village was underneath the mansion! I figured this shouldn't be intended as the illagers in their home could easily wipe out the village.

You can still encounter this "funky" situation but with changes in villages in 1.14.1, at least now the village spawn properly next to their Masters and not beneath it. 😛

I just found this randomly. Use the seed 1465676780026034783 and run the following command:
/tp @p -3388 67 18113
I think its just unfortunate placement. There likely isnt any check in place to keep villages from spawning near mansions
Can confirm in 1.17.
Seed: -9059045145664655421
Coordinates: /execute in minecraft:overworld run tp @s 146.48 75.34 219.55 -46.80 18.75
I can confirm that this is still an issue in 1.17.1 Release Candidate 2. The generation of these two structures has slightly changed and they now actually generate overlapping one another. See

Can confirm for 1.14-pre5. Coordinates are -5539 84 -1085. I guess that's what happens when illagers succeed at raiding a village. 😃
