Also when a player crouches like that, they cannot swim to reduce their height. This is likely a bug because some other functionalities of crouching are absent in sneaking; you can still fall off blocks when crouching without holding shift.

I died in a shipwreck because I was trapped by being forced to crouch instead of swimming.
