Language scrolling up meaning I can not choose the correct language

I have been playing Minecraft since 2014 and know that there are many variants of the English language, today when playing I decided to choose the Shakespearean English. However, instead of selecting this language, it scrolled to the top and selected the language the cursor was now hovering over. I tried to reselect English, but it did not work, even after rebooting Minecraft. I am unable to understand Minecraft at the moment as it is currently in Arabic, so I hope you are able to solve this as soon as possible.
