I was walking through my villager dormitory, and then I see two villagers inside of each other in a strange manner.
How to reproduce:
Put some beds on the ground.
Spawn some villagers.
/time set night
Push them around / they might randomly sleep very close to each other.

Yes, it's still an issue in 1.16 Release Candidade 1 and later. The easiest way to reproduce is to throw a bread in other villager's bed. I know I'm not the owner of the issue, but I can confirm it's still an issue in 1.16 Release Candidate 1 and later. It's probably because the very small hitbox of them(MC-148559).
This is due to MC-148559 where villagers have tiny hitboxes while sleeping in beds, The villagers are able to be pushed around when they sleep and therefore it is possible to push two of them "into" each other since their hitboxes are small.
