The bug

You can push a sleeping villager into a bed with another sleeping villager without pushing the second one. This will cause overlapping sleeping villagers and Z-fighting.

Original (2019) description

It was night. I was in my base full of beds with sleeping villagers. But I nudged a villager to another villager and their textures started to Z-fight.

Same as if 2 mobs are touching each other, 2 players touching each other, etc. Is it even a bug?

I think so, but I am not sure if this is fixable. Maybe Won't Fix

the hitboxes are colliding its just sleeping villagers have really small hitboxes

You can also drop a carrot on the bed and the villagers will slide on their beds to the carrot
