[MC-149308] Thrown items appear right in front of head for a frame

The bug

When an item is thrown it appears right in front of the screen for a frame which is very distracting. Items are also thrown from the head instead of the arm.

Not quite a duplicate, as it can come from the head without obscuring vision.

I'm on seizure meds and this issue is making it very difficult to have a chicken farm without redstone. Please fix this.
