The hebrew translation of Minecraft is filled with keysmashes/gibberish words.
What I expected to happen was...:
I expected a proper translation of minecraft to hebrew.
What actually happened was...:
Everything in the game that has text - menu buttons, subtitles, item/block names has been replaced with gibberish words.
It seems that all the letters have been switched. If I attempt to type the letter א, I will get the letter ר instead.
The letters ש and ת do not have the font the rest of the letters have.
For example(s): a shulker box that was named "אוכל" has been change to "מםפר". Arrows in 1.14 are named "סג" - The hebrew word for arrow is "חץ".
When I looked for a sign (in hebrew "שלט"), in my creative mode inventory, the game typed "שמן" and seemed to think that it says the right word.
Steps to Reproduce:
Change your game language to Hebrew.

I just tested this, and from comparing what Minecraft shows up and what I copy-pasted into the game, I can confirm this issue. A workaround is enabling Unicode font in the language menu.
Merged into MC-148898. That ticket also contains a workaround / fix now.
Hmm, sounds like the font files got messed up. What happens if you use the "Programmer Art" texture pack? Does forcing Unicode font help?
