[MC-149848] Lshift clicking items from chest to hotbar results in items placed in slot 8

while Lshift clicking an item from a chest it lands in slot 8 on the hotbar, although if Lshift clicking from your inventory the item lands in slot 0

Yep this is definitely a problem. Except the item goes into the last slot in your hotbar which is the 9th, not the 8th.

It was my understanding the hot bar slots were numbered left to right 0-8

Nope - They are labeled 1-9 - I have the same issue in the Wii U Edition.
