Villagers Run at Faster Than Normal Speeds When Running to a House

When night comes, NPCs will run at extremely high speeds to get to the nearest house. As if they had a speed II potion on.

Working as intended.

They move in one speed in 1.5.2 and now they move as though they have speed II on them.

I only see them do this when they go into a home, otherwise, when doing nothing or even being chased by a Zombie, they are fine, so this is confirmed on my end. Way too fast than they were before, and I didn't see this in the change-logs in any snapshot.

Stil in 13w42b.

Oddly enough in 13w42b I'm noticing this during midday. Some villagers act normal, yet some run around like baby villagers, and run in and out of houses. Switching to peaceful does not fix it, so they don't seem to be fleeing? Also, not raining or even getting dark.

Seems strange because they don't run nearly that fast when running from a zombie, but do when nightfall comes and they look for a house, even if no zombies are even close to the village and the area is completely lit up.

Confirmed for 1.8.1.

Still an issue in 15w34a.

I also want to go home sometime. Someone save me.

@unknown: The issue now is that villagers run extremely fast when getting into houses, but slower when actually escaping from zombies or illagers (which seems to be reversed logic, they should be more afraid of zombies than the night itself). I made a ticket with code analysis at MC-121175.
