Villagers running all the time

I found a village, where villagers are always running, like they are trying to escape a zombie, though no zombies are seen or heard around.
I don't know how to reproduce the bug because it was seen in a random spawned village.
*Also villagers sometimes start running in circles as if they were surrounded by wall, not stopping until they are pushed out of the circle radius

Is it raining ?
Is this village in a desert and it't raining in the world but not in the desert (sky is overcast) ?
If so , then duplicate of MC-15080

No it's not raining and the village is not in a desert.

Al the people in all of my villages run around in circles indoors whether it's raining or not.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

I see this issue was marked for 1.7.1, but it's also present in the full release of 1.7.2.

I created a world using the seed "Earth" and found a village at x: -840, z: 740 in a Savanna biome where the villagers were sprinting and opening and closing doors repeatedly. It wasn't raining. I found another village in a desert biome at x: -490, z: 1000, and the villagers were doing the same thing. It wasn't raining there, either. I completely closed the client and reloaded the world, but the villagers were still behaving strangely and sprinting.

Does this still occur in the current versions?

Not happened since 1.9 for me.

Does it still happen to you?

I suspected that it might be fixed, because there were at least two AI fixes for villagers in 1.9.
So this can be closed as fixed in 1.9.

Just happened in 16w43a even it happens rarely.

I have Vista.

This bug is occurring for me on the Snapshot for 19w11b. I've played on Survival and Creative mode and they will not calm down unless I exit the game and restart. Even in peaceful mode on Creative, they will not calm down.
