Iron golems attack without hitting villagers or the golems themselves. I have many golems in my village so I was insta-killed by them.

Iron golems will automatically become hostile towards a player when they have a reputation under -15, can you verify that would not be the cause here? Currently with no steps to reproduce, it's hard to tell. If you are under -15, that would already be tracked in MC-216285.
I have had random Iron Golems aggro on me. I hit a villager but that was many trades ago. Not all Golems aggro either it seems to be random ones and they sometimes deaggro.
